Mr Sultan Hassan MB ChB FRCS(Eng) FRCSEd FRCS(Plast) CCT in Plastic Surgery. He is a highly regarded Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Breast and Cosmetic Surgeon. He holds clinics in London, Birmingham, Exeter, Bristol, Sheffield and Cambridge.

Mr Hassan is the Medical Director and Lead Plastic Surgeon at Elite Surgical Care Group. He holds cosmetic surgery out patient clinics across the UK including clinics in Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Bristol, Exeter, Doncaster and Nottingham.

Mr Sultan Hassan is a fully qualified GMC registered Consultant Plastic, Cosmetic & Aesthetic Surgeon. He is a member of:-

• Mr Hassan is on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery that is the critical marker of a highly skilled and UK trained expert, enabling him to be entitled to hold a substantive Consultant Plastic Surgeon Post in the NHS. 

He is a perfectionist in all the he does. He is an academic surgeon who has written multiple plastic surgery articles and presented at expert meetings around the world. As part of his training, he learnt from some of the most distinguished plastic surgeons from around the world inorder to fine tune his own surgical practice and deliver the best possible results to his patients based upon both his own extensive experience and the latest high quality evidence available. This included leading surgeons from the United States, Canada , Brazil, France, Spain, Italy and Sweden.

Mr Hassan studied medicine and graduated from the The University of Leeds in 1994 where he obtained his first medical degree. After an extensive and thorough training in all the main surgical disciplines, he began his plastic surgical training in 1999. As an academic high flyer, he won two of the most prestigious research fellowships from the Wellcome Trust and then from the Medical Research Council. This period of research gave him an unrivalled understanding of molecular biology and how science can influence medicine. In 1999 he was awarded the Fellowship of both the Royal College of Surgeons in England and then the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. After further training in Yorkshire, the North of England and the Midlands he was awarded the distinction of the Intercollegiate FRCS(Plast) recognising the completion of his specialist training in plastic and cosmetic surgery.

Mr Hassan has undergone specialist training in advanced cosmetic plastic surgery. He completed two Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Fellowships and spent a year at the Internationally reknowned The Royal Marsden Hospital, London where he developed his expertise in microsurgical reconstructive breast and head/neck surgery following major cancer surgery. This prestigious post helped him to hone his reconstructive skills to help breast and head & neck cancer patients to have complex reconstruction. 

Mr Hassan has developed an expertise in Cosmetic Surgery and currently performs hundreds of cosmetic surgical procedures per year. His specialist interests include surgery of the breast, face, rhinoplasty and trunk. He was awarded a BTEC Diploma in Skin Lasers from The University of Loughborough and received the honour of being appointed as the Chief Medical Officer for the British Boxing Board of Control (Midlands) which is why he is often seen ringside at major British Boxing Tournaments!

Mr Hassan is a highly respected and acknowledged teacher and surgical trainer. He trains junior plastic surgeons to perform plastic surgery and is a part of the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty on the Speciality Skills in Plastic Surgery Course. He also helped set up the North-East International Flap Course and teaches on this regularly where he trains both Senior and Junior Plastic Surgeons from all over the world how to perform the most complex types of reconstructive plastic surgery.

He is also the founding member and Medical Director of The Primary Care Tarining Academy, where he and his team of Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists train GP's to perform safe Minor Surgery in the Community and in the techniques of Dermoscopy to help in the diagnosis of Skin Lesions.
